Hollywood Casino St. Louis is currently looking for an Internal Auditor to join the team.
 
Your daily responsibilities include:

ˇ         Follows audit programs to conduct audits.

ˇ         Performs detail testing of source documents to ensure compliance with requirements of Internal Control Manuals, Regulatory Rules/Acts and departmental policies and procedures.

ˇ         Performs observations and analysis of departmental procedures to ensure compliance and operational efficiencies.

ˇ         Develops and recommends alternative procedures to enhance operations.

ˇ         Recommends improvements to procedures, operational efficiencies and continued compliance.

ˇ         Identifies weaknesses and provides options.

ˇ         Completes audit files with working papers referenced to the audit program.

ˇ         Limited liaises with external auditors to communicate information and resolve problems.

ˇ         Presents audit issues to the Internal Audit Manager for the development of reports and recommendations.

ˇ         Maintains audit files, ensures files contain planning memos, programs and reports and follows up to ensure audit recommendations have been followed.

ˇ         Analyzes data obtained for evidence of deficiencies in controls, duplication of efforts, extravagance, fraud, or lack of compliance with law, government regulations, and management plans, policies or procedures.

ˇ         Assist in planning the theory and scope of audits and related audit programs.

ˇ         May require travel to operations within areas we operate in up to 20% of time. 

Requirements

GAMING INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE IS PREFERRED 

To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set:

ˇ         Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university and one to two years related experience and/or training preferred. 

ˇ         Familiarity with standards, concepts, practices and procedures within gaming and/or pari-mutual wagering is desired.

ˇ         Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. 

ˇ         Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. 

ˇ         Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.  Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

ˇ         Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. 

ˇ         Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

ˇ         To perform this job successfully, an individual should have strong PC skills, knowledge of Internet, and be proficient using Microsoft Office products.

ˇ         Valid drivers' license

ˇ         CPA or CIA or candidate for certification desired

ˇ         Must be able to obtain gaming and racing licenses in various jurisdictions.

ˇ         Generally relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines, but occasionally relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.  A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.

ˇ         Oral and written communication; confidentiality; interpersonal skills; organization skills; problem analysis; and task oriented.

ˇ         While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
