Corps/Facility: Harbor Light Center / Security

Position Title:  Roving Security Monitor

Schedule:  Part time, as needed/Non-Exempt

Date Position Available:  Immediately

Salary:  Minimum pay for a wage grade 10 is $9.27 per hour

Duties:

1.      Monitor conduct of all residents & staff ensuring compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulations.

2.      Monitor all areas, including parking lots, alleys, and adjacent sidewalks to ensure residents are in assigned areas.

3.      Maintain a security log for the recording of any incidents hat occur during shift hours.

4.      Check all residents for appropriate badges.

5.      Perform breathalyzer and urinalysis for residents.

6.      Assist in transporting staff for random drug testing.

7.      Conduct routine search and seizure procedures.

8.      Assist in determining when emergency Services or Police should be called.

Qualifications:  High school/equivalent diploma and one year related work experience or two years work experience without diploma.  CPR/First Aid certification required.  Valid driver’s license required (Class E).  Position requires basic communications with clients and staff.  Must think independently and demonstrate sound judgment.  Annual TB test required per Salvation Army Harbor Light Policy.  Must be a team player, a self starter, and perform well with minimal supervision.
