The Rockwood School District is seeking an outstanding educator for the position of Assistant Principal of Selvidge Middle School (Grades 6-8).

Located in Ballwin, Missouri, Selvidge Middle School is an active learning environment where students, parents, faculty and administrators are dedicated to developing independent, life-long learners and creative, responsible citizens prepared for the diverse and complex society of the future.� The staff members are well trained in the concepts of Professional Learning Communities and have operated as such for the last 13 years.� Students at Selvidge are academically competitive and have shown consistent growth on MAP and EXPLORE assessments.� Interdisciplinary teams and a wide range of exploratory and specialized courses offer students diverse and personalized educational programs.� The Selvidge PTO and community have been active participants and supporters at Selvidge through a variety of efforts.� The school community is extremely proud of the academic success of the students as well as the caring and nurturing environment that has been established over the years.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS
������Master’s degree or higher, with a major in educational administration required.
������Must be eligible for a Missouri elementary or secondary principal’s certificate.�
������Successful elementary or secondary school administration and supervision experience preferred.
������At least three years successful experience as a classroom teacher.
������Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills.
