Farm Project Coordinator

Location: Greater St. Louis Metro Area

The International Institute is seeking full time farm coordinator. Additional language other than English a plus, but not required. Position will provide instructional services to newly arrived refugees who are interested in pursuing a career in agriculture. Position works directly with clients of the Institute and various community partners in the urban agriculture movement. Position requires some weekend work and work mostly outdoors in the growing season.
Minimum Qualifications: Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in horticulture or agriculture, plus 2 years of experience in organic and sustainable agriculture; or 10 years of related experience. Candidate should have knowledge of best practices in urban farming and farmers markets, ability to work independently with limited supervision as well as social skills to work with others. Candidate must have capacity to recruit and utilize volunteers. Candidate must have knowledge of Microsoft programs, and must have a valid driver’s license and access to a car.
