MSW is seeking full or part-time interns to join the team for the fall semester. The ideal intern is open to jumping in feet first into a variety of projects. Interns will have the opportunity to gain hand-on experience with clients. Duties include: manage online event calendars, organize news clips, compose press releases and media alerts, make media follow-up calls to secure placements, assist in special event planning, design marketing materials, creative and conceptual copywriting (radio, print, and TV), ad production and editing, filing, data entry and other duties as needed.
· -Pursuing a degree in public relations, advertising, journalism, or similar field
· -Junior or senior status
· -Minimum 3.0 GPA
· -Strong writing skills and verbal communication
· -Confidence to work with clients and phones
· -Experience with AP writing style is recommended
· -Basic knowledge of graphic design is a plus
· -Digital media and social network skills is a plus
· -Night and weekend participation for event management optional but encouraged.
