The person holding this position will be responsible for assisting the Office Manager with project management and administrative duties, including but not limited to, preparing documents for subcontractors and vendors, performing routine inventory on supplies, answering phones, greeting guests, and special projects assigned by project engineers and project managers. The position will be held at Simms’ main office located at 1831 Chestnut Street and the chosen candidate will work under the supervision of the Office Manager.
Hours & Compensation
Our office is open Monday-Friday, 8 am – 5 pm. Hours for this position can range from 10-30 hours a week. Hours may be negotiated based on student schedule. No overtime will be available for this position. This is not a volunteer or unpaid internship position. Compensation will be offered and negotiated during the interview phase.
There is no mandatory class level for applicants. We ask only that students applying be dedicated workers, self-motivated, eager to learn and ready to work with reliable transportation. (We are located directly across from the Union Station Metrolink for anyone using public transportation.)
