When searching Fontbonne Library's periodical index databases, full-text is not always available. Other times you may have a citation in hand and need to find the full-text of the article. Here's how to find it:
1) Make sure you have the citation information for the article you need:
- author
- article title
- journal name
- volume
- issue
- date
- page number
2) Go the Fontbonne University Library website
3) Click on A-to-Z Journals
4) Type in the name of the journal in the find box (top right) -- [Example: Educational Leadership]
5) Check to see if we have the journal you're looking for in the date range you need
6) If we have it in a database, there will be a link (underlined and in blue) to that database -- [Example: Academic Search Premier 1974 to present]
7) Click on the link to see a series of links to that journal listed by year
8) Click on the appropriate year
9) Click on the appropriate issue
10) Scroll down to find the title of the article
11) Click on PDF Full-Text or HTML Full-Text to access the article
If we have it in print in the Library, you will see the date range available in the A-to-Z Journals list -- [Example: In Fontbonne Library-Your Access: 1972-1999]
- Print versions older than 1 year are located on the 2nd floor in Bound Periodicals
- Print versions for the current year are located on the 1st floor in the Periodicals Area
If we don't have the article in any of our databases or in print, you can request it through Interlibrary Loan. The requested item will be sent to you electronically via Fontbonne email usually within 5 days.
