After a short walk back to the lobby area, you will see a glassed-in room with lots of computers.
This is the Information Commons.
Walk through the glass doors and you will see the Reference Desk to your immediate left. This Desk is staffed by Reference personnel. If there is no one at the Desk, please look for a librarian in his or her office (a sign with office locations is posted on the Reference Desk.)

We have 42 computers, a scanner and 4 printers for students, staff and the Clayton community to use. A password is not required to use these computers.
The books around the room comprise the Fontbonne Reference Collection - encyclopedias, almanacs, atlases, and handbooks of all types and subjects. They are cataloged according to the Library of Congress Classification system, beginning with A at the wall to your left. The Call Numbers of the books in this room all begin with REF and can be found by checking our online catalog. These books must be used in the library.
This is a great place to find information when starting a research paper!
Handouts can be found on the rack immediately to the left as you walk in the door. These handouts provide helpful information on Fontbonne databases, using the library, database search techniques, citation styles, etc. Help yourself!!
