May 15, 2010 – The Fontbonne University baseball team lost two games yesterday in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) to conclude their season.
The Griffins, the tournament’s #3 seed, lost to #1 seed Webster University 8-1 and the lost to #2 seed Greenville College 5-1. Fontbonne finished the season with a 21-20 overall record.
After banging out 24 hits and 20 runs in Thursday night’s victory over Greenville, Fontbonne’s offense went quiet on Friday. In the two games, Fontbonne scored just two runs, on 12 hits with a .185 team batting aveage.
