Fontbonne University

Aug. 31 - The John Rodgers era in Fontbonne University women's volleyball will begin tomorrow night as the Griffins host Lindenwood-Belleville University in their 2010 season opener.

Rodgers is in his first year as the Griffins' head coach. Fontbonne had a 9-22 overall record last season with a 8-8 St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) record. Fontbonne finished in fifth place in the SLIAC last year.

This year Fontbonne returns two players from last year's team while welcoming seven new players to the program.

Lindenwood-Belleville opened their 2010 season with a pair of victories at the Robert Morris Tri-Match on Saturday, Aug. 28th.

The Fontbonne/Lindenwood-Belleville match will begin at 7:00 pm at the Dunham Student Activity Center (DSAC) on Fontbonne's campus.
