First Level of Approval:

Those submitting independently must seek ‘first level approval’ from their academic student advisor (the individual advising you on courses to take to complete your degree).
-
Students should consult their “first level approval” source to identify the Vice President from whom second approval must be sought.
-
Faculty and staff applicants cannot approve their own proposals and should seek first level approval from their Department Chair or Supervisor.
-
Prior to applying, consult all parties heavily involved with your proposed project i.e. Information Technology, Mission Integration, Fontbonne Marketing, etc.
Second Level of Approval:
Second level approvals should be from the VPs who hold budgetary responsibility for the area for which you are requesting funds. Submission to the appropriate VP must be done in a timely fashion, well in advance of the deadline. The VP will thoroughly consider the project and if in favor, agree to its merit and be willing to answer related questions.
