Where am I?

Touchstone

touch·stone n.

An excellent quality or example that is used to test the excellence or genuineness of others: "the qualities of courage and vision that are the touchstones of leadership" (Henry A. Kissinger).

Our Touchstone Leadership Certificate Program is based on Fontbonne's commitment to "prepare competent individuals who bring an ethical and responsible presence to the world." Touchstone is designed to further develop our History, Mission and values of excellence, integrity, respect, diversity, community, justice, service, faith and Catholic presence. These values are touchstones of leadership and a hallmark of the broad-based educational opportunities we offer.

What exactly is Touchstone?

Touchstone is a six-week intensified leadership program that focuses around a specific leadership theme each academic semester. Past themes have included, creating a vision and becoming the change you want to see in the world.

To sign up for this semester click the link above. The program for the 2012 Spring semester starts in February, 2012.

Each session is 75 minutes long and lasts for six-weeks.

Meetings are always the same night of the week and meet on the 4th Floor of Medaille (Griffin Nest). Participants who complete the Touchstone program for that semester are recognized at the annual Leadership Banquet hosted by the Student Government Association at the end of the academic year. This year (2011-2012) school year, the banquet is being held April 2012 in Dsac Gym.
