Where am I?
Busy Person's Retreat
Each spring semester the Busy Person’s Retreat takes place on campus and it’s for exactly who it sounds like--busy people like you and me!
BPR occurs over the course of five days on campus. What makes BPR unique is that the retreat schedule depends on the retreatant’s schedule. Each retreatant commits 30 minutes of personal prayer and 30 minutes meeting with a spiritual director each day. It’s a great way to learn to pray within your busy lives.
A spiritual director is someone who listens to your faith story and someone who guides you through reflection and prayer. A director may be a religious sister or a lay man or woman. What is common about all of them is their desire to enter into retreat with you.
What do you need to know about the BPR? You need to know:
- BPR is completely FREE!
- BPR is open to everyone on campus!
- All the retreatants and spiritual directors will meet together Sunday, March 30 at 5:30 pm in Doerr Chapel for an opening prayer service and to finalize schedules. We can arrange your schedules if you're unable to be there.
- Monday-Thursday you'll meet with a SD for 30 minutes each day and commit to 30 minutes of prayer on your own. Your meeting times will be based on your schedule!
- If you're available, we'll gather together on at the end of the retreat for a closing prayer session and lunch on Friday, April 4th at 1:00pm in the Interfaith Chapel.
