We provide many exciting opportunities for you to gain awareness about diversity at Fontbonne University! Multicultural Affairs contributes to the creation and promotion of communities which respect and support diversity and multiculturalism: diversity as the collection of individuals and groups possessing assorted & distinctive characteristics and experiences; and multiculturalism as the skill to comfortably and effectively communicate and interact intra- and interculturally. We encourage the Fontbonne community to recognize and value difference as well as the commonalities between and among diverse groups. The Office presents programming, resource referrals, sensitivity education and other special events to advance the faculty's, staff's, and students' awareness and appreciation of themselves and of Fontbonne's unique diversity. Our past events include Hispanic/Latin Heritage Celebration, Ability Awareness, Native American Heritage Observance, Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration, Black History Month, Women's History Month, Diversity Week, and Asian/Pacific Island Heritage Observation.
