Where am I?

Dining

All resident students living in Medaille and St. Joseph Halls are required to be on a meal plan. Choose a plan that meets your needs. Light eaters may want the 10 meal per week plan, average eaters may want the 14 meals per week plan. Those planning to eat all meals will want to choose the 19 meal plan. If you did not specify a meal plan choice on you housing application, the 14 meal plan is automatically assigned. Changes in your meal plan choice can be made up to 2 weeks after moving in. All change requests must be in writing. NO CHANGES ARE ACCEPTED BY PHONE.

Our number one priority is to provide you with taste-tempting meals and service that meets your needs and helps make your time pleasant while at Fontbonne. Two food venues are available: Ryan Hall Cafeteria, and the Griffin Grill in the Dunham Student Activity Center. See their schedules below.  Learn more about our meal plans and how they work.

Our breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus are available online.

Griffin Bucks

Griffin Bucks is a declining balance card that works similar to a debit card using your university ID. To set up your account deposit a minimum of $25.00 into your account in the Business office. Each new deposit made into your account will receive a 10% bonus. The balance on your Griffin Bucks will carry over from the fall semester into the spring semester but not from spring to fall. Griffin Bucks accounts are closed on the last Friday preceding the spring semester commencement. They are not refundable.
Your ID must be presented at the time of purchase. Participants cannot transfer a balance to a different account.
Residents can use this in addition to their traditional meal program but it does not take the place of the meal plan. Examples of how the resident students may use Griffin Bucks with the meal plan include but are not limited to the following:

  • To purchase an additional food selection when eating from the exchange menu located in the Griffin Grill.
  • To purchase popcorn and or soda during a sporting / recreational event held in the gym.
  • To purchase meals at the Griffin Grill or in the Ryan Dining room for a guest.
  • To purchase an individual meal if the student has used his or her weekly meal allocation.

To check your account balance, Food service or the Business office can assist you.

To add money to your account, you or your parents can contact the Business office at 314-889-1405 Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.

You are responsible for reporting a lost or stolen Fontbonne ID card with Griffin Bucks dollars to Student Affairs, 889-1411. Fontbonne University assumes no financial liability for a lost or stolen card.
