Fontbonne students may receive medical care at the Southside Family Practice, part of Esse Health, an independent group of over 75 physicians in private practice in the St. Louis area. Southside Family Practice is located close to Fontbonne in the doctors' building at one half mile east of Big Bend Boulevard and just south off Clayton Road. Southside is staffed by physicians, a physician assistant and nurse practitioner and offers a full-range of medical services. Most major health insurance plans are accepted. Students should identify themselves as Fontbonne students when calling to schedule appointments. In most cases, students can be seen the same day or the next day by one of the providers. Students should bring their insurance cards and copays to each appointment. Students are responsible for any payments not covered by insurance. Professional staff is available by telephone after hours and on weekends.

Total Access Urgent Care is a privately-owned practice and so does not have the heavy administrative expenses that other medical facilities face. Even if you are uninsured, we can provide reasonable rates, deductibles, and co-pays. Our team is made up of emergency medicine and family practice physicians and staff, and we are prepared to provide you with the medical treatment that you need for such urgent matters. You can also feel free to walk into our office without calling ahead. We accept urgent walk-ins and we do not require you to make an appointment. As local doctors who are involved in our community, we understand that accidents occur and urgent matters arise that require the attention of doctors and medical officials. This care is what you can receive if you choose our medical assistance. We also offer an online check-in service through our website as well.

Fast Track Urgent Care provides prompt non-life threatening ambulatory services for acute illness and injuries that are either beyond the scope and/or availability of retail clinics and typical primary care offices. Our doctors and staff will make sure you receive appropriate medical treatment in a pleasant manner. Conveniently located across from the Galleria shopping center and near the Metro Link station.
Take Care Clinic
Take Care Clinics, part of Take Care Health Systems, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Walgreens Health and Wellness division, can be found at select locations in the St. Louis area. Nurse Practitioners and Physicians' Assistants provide a wide range of healthcare services. If you have an accepted insurance provider, a co-payment is collected at the time of the visit. Without insurance, treatment for common illnesses start at $65. Information can be found at www.takecarehealth.com regarding location and hours. Many locations have weekend and evening hours. Fontbonne University has no affiliation with Take Care Health Systems.
St. Luke's Convenient Care can see you on a walk in basis. Many insurance plans have a lower co-pay for using Convenient Care Centers. Next to the Pharmacy inside Dierbergs Des Peres (1080 Lindemann Road), can treat minor illnesses and injuries. They also offer medical care for ailments such as sore throats, coughs, rashes, ear infections and urinary tract infections. They provide TB testing, MMR, Meningitis, flu shots, and other select immunizations and sports physicals. They offer free blood pressure checks every day. Check your insurance plan for details. St. Luke's Urgent Care does not require an appointment. You can recieve prompt, minor emergency medical treatment at various locations throughout the St. Louis area. Services include X-ray and lab services; treatment for sprains and broken bones, cold and flu symptoms; rashes and burns and others. Most insurance plans are accepted. Payment may be made with cash, personal check or credit card. The closest location to campus would be at 455 S. Kirkwood Road in the Woodbine Center 1 mile north of I-44, 314-965-6871.
