Arrival Information
Fontbonne University will arrange transportation from the airport to the university if you arrive on the scheduled arrival date for the summer, fall or spring semester. Student Ambassadors will meet you at the airport to escort you to Fontbonne. There is a fee of $75 charged to your student account for this service. Apply at this link for Airport Pick Up Request.
Summer Information
NO arrivals to campus before May 27, 2013
- Fontbonne University offices closed for government holiday on Monday, May 27
- Housing Application Contract and deposit must be submitted before arrival
- Residence Halls open to new international students on May 28.
- If you wish to purchase linens for yourself, they will be in your room when you arrive and are yours to keep. A fee of $29.00 is assessed to your student account for 1 blanket, 1 pillow, 2 sheets, 2 bath towels, 2 hand towels, 2 wash cloths, 1 bar soap and 1 roll of toilet paper. You must request the linens before your arrival.
- International Student Orientation – May 29 and May 30
- PPD/Tuberculosis must be received in St. Louis. Do not receive it in your home country.
- NEW DATES FOR Vaccination Clinic on campus –MONDAY, JUNE 10, 3 PM - 5 PM AND WEDNESDAY, JUNE 12, 3:30 PM- 5:30 PM
If you must arrive in St. Louis before the scheduled date, YOU must arrange your own transportation from the airport to a local hotel for a room. Here are some hotels close to campus.
- Sheraton Clayton, contact Hotel Reservation Manager. Shuttle service from the airport to hotel
- Cheshire Inn, contact Reservation Manager. Taxis run approximately $30 from the airport

If space is available, Cotta Hall is used for off campus. Summer residents off campus must meet the criteria on the application. Current Residents in Cotta Hall, you must apply for summer occupancy. Summer rent remains the same.

- You can pay your housing deposit at our secure site ONLINE now.
- Scan and email application to residentiallife@fontbonne.edu
- Housing deposit confirms an available space in university sponsored housing not a particular building or room.
- The $200 serves as a residence hall security deposit.
- Pay the housing deposit before the May 1 deadline for the Fall Semester and before December 1 for the Spring Semester, to receive a priority housing assignment.
Immunization Requirements for New International Students
As part of the occupancy requirements, all international students applying to the university are required to have immunizations to complete the application process. International students living in university sponsored housing are required to have a TB/PPD, mumps and a meningococcal vaccine.

Spring Vaccination Clinic on campus, around January 10
Fall Vaccination Clinic on campus, around August 15
- The mumps and meningococcal vaccines can be received in your home country by July 10 for the FALL semester; by November 10 for the SPRING semester; by April 10 for the SUMMER session.
- Documentation must be in English and received in the Residential Life office as soon as possible after your arrival.
- If you do not have proof of the Mumps and Meningococcal vaccines, you must receive these vaccines on the same day that you receive your TB/PPD at the Vaccination Clinic on campus.
IMPORTANT: Failure to receive the required immunizations or submit documentation from your country, jeopardizes your housing does not alleviate your contract responsibilities with Fontbonne University Residential Life office.
You must notify the Residential Life office if you need these vaccines so there will be enough for all.
If you do not receive the required vaccinations, you will not be allowed to attend classes for the current semester. If you do not attend classes, your immigration record will be negatively affected. Your student account is charged for each vaccine you receive.

Immunization Cost
May 2, 2013 These are current costs.
Tuberculin Test (TB/PPD) - Cost: $33.00 This 2 part screening that CAN NOT be received outside the United States and WILL NOT be accepted if received outside the United States.
Meningococcal vaccine - Cost: $137.00 This is for meningitis and can be received in your country.
Mumps vaccine - Cost: $96.50 The MMR vaccine of mumps, measles and rubella is acceptable and can be received in your country.
