MEDICAL REQUIREMENT UPDATE FOR RESIDENTSFontbonne University requires all students living in Fontbonne sponsored housing to have a tuberculosis screening and meningococcal vaccine. If you have already received the meningococcal vaccine you do not need to have the vaccine re-administered. You will need to provide medical documentation with a physician's signature. The tuberculosis screening must be current and no older than six (6) months prior to moving in the residence hall. Both the TB screening and the meningococcal vaccine may be administered through your local health departments and physician's office. Please check with either. Students failing to complete these requirements may jeopardize their housing assignments. Check-InWhen you check into the residence halls, be sure to read the information carefully. Signing the occupancy list or accepting a room key and/or moving personal belongings into your room constitutes finding acceptance of the “Residence Hall Contract” and obligates you, the resident, for the full amount of the year’s room rent. After Check-InEach student shall be allowed one opportunity to make a room change per semester if space permits. Roommate or room changes will take place for the first two weeks of a semester and must have the approval of the Residential Life Director. A room change or request for a new roommate MUST BE IN WRITING and you must go to the Residential Life office. If there is a student now living in the room where you would like to move, they must also go to the Residential Life office and request you as a new roommate. If space is available, double rooms may be assigned as single rooms in St. Joseph Hall. However, the University reserves the right to put someone in that space if all the double rooms have been filled and space is needed. The student who is granted the single room has 24 hours to present the Residential Life director with a receipt of payment for the single room from the business office. If you feel you need a room change due to roommate problems, be sure to discuss the situation with your resident assistant. He or she will work with you in an attempt to resolve the differences. Only after you have made an honest attempt to resolve personal difficulties will a move be considered.
