Residence Halls

Residential Assistants

A resident assistant (RA) is assigned to each residence hall floor. RAs are are selected based on scholarship, experience and maturity. Each RA completes extensive ongoing training and receives supervision from the director of residential life.

Quiet hours

Fontbonne's resident assistants enforce "quiet hours." During these times, radios, stereos, televisions and voices are not to be audible outside the resident's room. Quiet hours in the residence halls are in effect 10 p.m.-10 a.m. Sunday-Thursday; midnight-10 a.m. Friday and Saturday.

Intervisitation

Inter-visitation pertains to hours when persons of the opposite sex can visit in a resident's room. It applies to residents as well as nonresidents. Inter-visitation hours in the residence halls are Sunday-Thursday, noon to midnight and Friday-Saturday, noon to 2 a.m.

Off-campus activities

Students are encouraged to get out and explore the great city of St. Louis. All resident students are allowed to have cars, which are helpful in the metro area. Buses run regularly from campus.

Close to campus, Forest Park offers the St. Louis Art Museum, the St. Louis Zoo, the St. Louis Science Center and more, plus biking, running and fitness trails. For more information about activities around the St. Louis area, visit here.
