St. Joseph Hall houses approximately 124 students. Males live on the second floor and females on the third and fourth floors. It is home to a mix of undergraduate students. St Joseph Hall rooms are designed to house two students per room. The furnishings include room chairs, beds, vanities, and a shared desk. The room temperature is controlled by the room occupants. Also included in the room is local phone service. If a student wishes for long distance phone service, he or she will have to pay extra. Community baths are available to residents on each floor. A lounge area with television, a study room, a laundry facility, and kitchenette are located on the first floor. The third floor is reserved for freshman women. Additional support and programs are available to those students as they make the transition from home to residence hall. Wellness BuildingSt. Joseph Hall's programming centers on the wellness model. In St. Jospeh Hall, emphasis will be given to, but not limited to, the following criteriato create a healthy awarness and attitude towards alcohol, drugs, nutrition, stress, and self-awarness. Policies that support this programming allow no alchol, drugs, or tobacco usage in St. Jospeh Hall. The residents assistants and support staff will develop programs that encourage achieving a healthy lifestyle. Students will be given necessary resources to make informed, responsible and healthy decisions. Residing in a wellness building will give students the opportunity to develop positive and healthy lifestyle choices. It is the responsibility of the student who lives in this environment to be a positive role model for those students who live in their floors. The resident is encouraged to take advantages of the programming offered to achieve the wellness lifestyle.
