Caps, Gowns, Class Rings, Announcements
All students participating in Commencement are required to wear appropriate academic attire.
Caps and gowns may be purchased through Fontbonne’s Bookstore on the first floor of Ryan Hall April 18 - May 11, 2012. Cap and gown that are purchased after the closing date will be subject to a $10 additional late fee. Cap and gowns are available on main campus only. Please note hours of the bookstore:
Monday thru Thursday: 9:00am - 6:00pm; Friday: 9:00am - 2:00pm Closed Saturday and Sunday
The Bookstore will be open the day of commencement for emergency purchases.
Undergraduate tassels are to be worn on the right side of the cap until the announcement is made at the ceremony to formally move the tassels to the left side. Graduate tassels are worn on the left side at all times.
The Office of Academic Affairs will notify undergraduate students who have earned graduation (Latin) honors. Latin Honors recipients are eligible to wear honor cords, which will be provided by the University, with their gowns. The honor cords will be distributed at the Honors Convocation on Friday, May 4, 2012. If someone is unable to attend the Honors Convocation, the cords may be picked up from the Registrar's office in Ryan 205.
