A well-rounded curriculum and the opportunity to work with a professional theater company prepare you to pursue your goals with confidence, whether you’re aiming for the bright lights of Broadway, running a show from the booth or developing tomorrow’s stars.
Fontbonne offers a theatre and performing arts (Bachelor of Arts in Performing Arts) major that features a carefully designed course grouping to provide a rich and broad background in the performing arts that puts you on center stage. You’ll learn all aspects of theater production, from acting and directing to building sets and stage managing — the spotlight is always on you!
We also offer art (BA) and fine arts (BFA) undergraduate programs help students master the fundamentals of visual communication and various media tools. Our faculty teaches in the academy style, which is a studio-based system of instruction that emphasizes working from direct observation, providing the critical, technical foundations of an artist’s training.
If you’re interested in earning a graduate degree in fine arts, visit our Master of Arts or Master of Fine Arts program pages.
As a performing arts student at Fontbonne, you are offered the ability to refine your talents in a professional setting located right on campus. Learn more about our Theatre Company in Residence.
