Master of Arts in Theatre

An advanced program for dedicated theater artists

Staying on top of the latest discoveries in your craft is always a good idea. With Fontbonne’s Master of Arts in Theatre, you can cultivate your talents while you explore other areas of interest.

Students have five required classes specific to theatre and can then choose five classes from other disciplines, including graphic arts, education, visual arts and business. This is an opportunity you won’t find anywhere else in St. Louis.

Program Highlights

  • The theatre department offers day, evening and weekend classes, so you can maintain your professional and personal commitments while you work toward getting your master’s degree.
  • Students have the option to work with Fontbonne’s professional in-residence theatre company, Mustard Seed Theatre.
  • Internships are encouraged so students can gain professional, hands-on experience while earning credit toward their degree.
