Fontbonne University Speech and Language Clinic – St. Paul, Minnesota

Now supporting the need to communicate in the St. Paul area

Opening in fall 2023, Fontbonne University’s Speech and Language Clinic in St Paul is a free, non-profit clinic dedicated to meeting the needs of individuals of all ages and economic means.

The clinic is based on a family-centered philosophy designed to improve the quality of life for all those impacted by a communication disorder. Treatment is aimed at returning an individual’s communication functionality while also improving their ability to interact with family and friends, engage in activities, and even return to work.

Fontbonne has been providing speech, language, and hearing services to the St. Louis community for more than 50 years and has expanded our reach into the Twin Cities area with a satellite program. All clinical services are provided by graduate students under the supervision of faculty members holding a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association. Supervising faculty also hold Minnesota state licensure in speech-language pathology. As a satellite speech-language pathology master’s program with an on-site clinic in Saint Paul on the campus of St Catherine, Fontbonne provides hands-on training for graduate students in the Department of Communication Disorders and Deaf Education.

Students, faculty, staff, and persons served in the program’s clinic are treated in a non-discriminatory manner – this is, without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, participation restriction, age, sexual orientation, or status as a parent. The institution and program comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and executive orders pertaining thereto.
