Educational Doctorate in Collaborative High Impact Instruction

Ascend to the highest levels of the teaching profession

Your pursuit of excellence has taken you to the highest levels of your profession. Now Fontbonne, a university with a long history of preparing teachers and educators in a variety of fields for success, offers a program and the support you need to achieve your doctorate degree.

Fontbonne University’s College of Education and Allied Health Professions is proud to expand its 95-year tradition of preparing teachers and therapists by announcing its inaugural education doctorate (Ed.D.) program in Collaborative High Impact Instruction. This innovative Ed.D. program will prepare doctoral students to become more effective, collaborative, and culturally responsive professionals in a variety of work settings.

Program Highlights

Impact is important whether you are teaching in a public or private school, a higher education setting or a corporate environment. Through a unique combination of coursework and research opportunities specifically designed to advance instructional effectiveness and innovation, students in the Ed.D. program will:

  • Apply evidence-based, high-impact education practices to affect change in diverse educational environments;
  • Develop culturally responsive and inclusive skills in collaboration, partnership development, application of translational research, use of assessment data to inform instruction, and integration of technology and teaching;
  • Grow as a leader in cohort groups of 10-12, led by dedicated, experienced professors.

Beginning in 2020, classes will be taught synchronously online via Zoom and Canvas, with expected travel to St. Louis twice during the three-year program.

The Corporate Partner, Educator and Non-Profit discounts apply to this degree program beginning with the Summer 2024 cohort. Click here for more details on these discount programs. For information on how the Alumni discount applies to this degree program, contact the Office of Admission.
