Freshman Scholarships and Institutional Aid

Freshman Scholarships and Institutional Aid

Institutional aid and scholarships are considered gift aid—meaning you do not have to pay them back—and come directly from Fontbonne.

Merit Scholarships

Maryam Ibrahim

Biology, student ambassador and the student government representative

I am privileged and honored to be one of the recipients. There are many opportunities this scholarship gave me, such as; I don’t have to worry about paying for school. I love that I can study/ major in whatever I want, and Fontbonne will pay for my school.

Jacob Lierman

Elementary Education TELOS Honors Program and Fontbonne Student Government (FSG)

The best part about receiving the presidential scholarship is not worrying about finances while attending college. I can be as involved on campus as I please, not having to spend all my extra time working to pay off student loans. In my case, I work part-time, but I still have ample time for my studies. Without worrying about student loans and debt, I do not feel pressured into a particular major and pursue my dream of becoming a teacher.

Madison Moyle

Medical Laboratory Science, Vice President of SAGA (Fontbonne's sexuality and gender alliance) and a member of the Omicron Delta Kappa Fontbonne circle

Being a Presidential Scholarship recipient has pushed me to do my very best academically. It’s a great motivator when you feel like giving up. My tips for students applying are to be yourself and show that you have the discipline needed to handle the academic requirements, but know that it’s not as scary as it sounds!

Students who qualify for the Fontbonne Promise will receive a financial aid award that covers full tuition and fees — loan free. The scholarship funding will be made possible through a combination of federal, state, Fontbonne aid and donor contributions.
