Guidelines for the Fall 2021 Semester

As we eagerly anticipate the start of the fall semester, Fontbonne University is providing the following expectations and guidance. Plans will be updated as needed to ensure we are fostering an environment that upholds the Fontbonne mission of serving the dear neighbor.

We look forward to offering a traditional campus experience for everyone. All members of the Fontbonne community are strongly encouraged to be fully vaccinated before the fall 2021 semester begins.

Contact tracing remains a critical component of our protocol. All campus members are encouraged to provide their vaccination status, which assists the process of contact tracing and can impact whether or not one must quarantine in the event of exposure.

Details on how to provide one’s vaccination status will be forthcoming.

We encourage individuals who are not yet vaccinated but plan to do so to be mindful of the time needed for the vaccination to become fully effective. The CDC has provided guidelines to help you determine the amount of time needed between doses to achieve full-vaccination status. Please plan accordingly.

We’ve delayed making a decision regarding the wearing of masks inside campus spaces as we closely monitor the delta variant. Additional updates will be shared prior to the start of the fall semester.

Your support is appreciated as we navigate through this process to foster a positive experience on campus for all. I look forward to seeing you back on campus in August!

President
