Fontbonne University has named Stephanie Dane Director of Integrated Marketing Communications. She joins Fontbonne from the Gateway Region YMCA where she has served as the Association Director of Marketing and Communications since 2013.
“We are excited Stephanie has joined Fontbonne,” said Quinton Clay, Fontbonne’s Vice President for Enrollment Management, Marketing and Communications. “Stephanie’s dedicated and successful tenure with the YMCA serves as a strong testament to the innovative marketing and communications skills, knowledge and passion she will bring to Fontbonne.”
In her new role at Fontbonne, Dane will plan, lead and execute comprehensive marketing plans that support the university’s strategic goals, paying special attention to projects related to student recruitment communications that directly impact enrollment.
“This is an exciting time at Fontbonne,” Clay said. “With the recent additions of our new chair of our board of trustees and new president, the Fontbonne community has been inspired to advance and create innovative and mission-centered strategies. As Director of Integrated Marketing Communications, Stephanie will be essential to sharing Fontbonne’s rich history, contemporary strengths and unique identity.”
Throughout her 21-year career at the Gateway Region YMCA, Dane led marketing for the organization’s strategic membership sales and retention efforts, oversaw internal communications and public relations, created and maintained website and social media content, and managed email campaigns that resulted in increased membership revenue and engagement, including when facilities closed during the COVID-19 pandemic. A St. Louis native, Dane attended Catholic elementary and high schools and obtained her bachelor’s degree in advertising and marketing communications and her master’s degree in media communications from Webster University.
“All of Fontbonne’s values, including integrity, service, respect, diversity and community, align with my own,” Dane said. “I look forward to using my experience in non-profit marketing and communications to help the university deliver on its mission to provide a holistic learning experience to future leaders prepared to serve a world in need.”
