Fontbonne/KMOX Book Club to Host New York Times' Mark Bittman

The Fontbonne University/KMOX Book Club will host Mark Bittman, food writer and author of his newest book, “Food Matters,” at its October book club event. The event will take place Tuesday, Oct. 7, at 7 p.m. at the St. Louis County Library, 1640 S. Lindbergh Blvd., St. Louis, 63124.

Bittman writes “The Minimalist,” a column in The New York Times, and is the author of numerous books on food and cooking, including “How to Cook Everything.” He is a regular guest on NBC’s The Today Show and has appeared on NPR’s All Things Considered, along with other video and television series. “Food Matters” is described as a guide to conscious eating, and examines the connection between eating too much meat, obesity, global warming and other issues.
