Fontbonne/KMOX Book Club Explores the Magic Treehouse

Bestselling children's book authors discuss their newest series addition
 
The Fontbonne University/KMOX Book Club will host Mary Pope Osborne and Natalie Pope Boyce, authors of the Magic Tree House series, a collection of bestselling children’s books, at its January book club event. The event will take place Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2011, from 10 – 11 a.m.

This event is not open to the general public. Families are invited to enter a contest to win an opportunity to join the authors of the Magic Tree House series during the live broadcast. To enter, please send your name and the number of people in your party to Charlie Brennan via e-mail at cwbrennan@cbs.com or via mail at KMOX Radio, One Memorial Dr., St. Louis, MO 63102. Please, only one entry per family. One lucky family will be chosen and announced on Tuesday, Jan. 11.

The Magic Tree House books have sold over 70 million copies in North America and spent over 230 weeks on the New York Times bestseller list. The series pairs fiction with nonfiction and is conducive to children learning in a fun and meaningful way. Charlie Brennan will speak with the authors about their newest series addition and its accompanying research guide.
