Fontbonne Honors Five Alumni for Service and Achievements

Fontbonne University recently honored five alumni for their individual service and achievements. These annual awards recognize outstanding alumni for their accomplishments and contributions to the university, to the university’s alumni association and to their communities.

Dr. Susan Puetz Lenihan of St. Louis, a 1975 Fontbonne graduate, received the Service to the University Award. Lenihan is currently a professor of communication disorders and the director of the deaf education program at Fontbonne.

Anne C. Ewers of Philadelphia, Pa., a 1974 Fontbonne graduate, received the Professional Achievement Award. Ewers is president and CEO of Kimmel Center Inc., a $35 million Philadelphia organization that owns and operates the Kimmel Center and manages the Academy of Music, home to eight resident companies. 
Anita Buie Lamont of Ladue, a 1969 Fontbonne graduate, received the Service to the Community Award. Lamont is senior director of corporate communications and a spokesperson for Charter Communications Inc. in St. Louis.
Timothy E. Fitch of Fenton, a 1999 Fontbonne OPTIONS graduate, received the OPTIONS Alumni Award. Fitch earned a master’s in management from Fontbonne. He serves as St. Louis County chief of police.
Jeffrey D. Maupin of Eureka, a 1998 Fontbonne graduate, received the Young Alumni Award. Maupin serves as assistant vice president and branch manager of the Eureka branch of Farmers & Merchants Bank.
