Where am I?

Founders Nomination Form

1986 marked the first presentation of the Fontbonne University (then College) Founders Awards.  The awards symbolize the recipients’ place in a history that dates back to the founding of the Sisters of St. Joseph on October 15, 1650 in LePuy, France.

The founding values of quality, respect, diversity, community, justice, faith, and Catholic presence continue to animate Fontbonne.  Service wherever there is a need is basic to the mission of the Sisters of St. Joseph.  Thus, the awards honor the recipients for their distinguished service uniquely characterized by the “founding values.”

The Founders Awards Committee requests your help in identifying individuals who could be considered as award recipients.

 Founders Awards are given:

  • to honor Fontbonne alumni for distinguished service in the community
  • to honor other than alumni whose distinguished service reflects Fontbonne’s values and who have some direct or indirect affiliation with Fontbonne University
  • to make the community-at-large more aware of Fontbonne University and the achievements of individuals associated with the University
  • to make a public statement that points up the carrying out of Fontbonne’s educational and social mission

Consider women and men Fontbonne graduates, people with whom you have contact in volunteer activities, your church or other organizations.  The important qualifications are commitment to service and some direct or indirect connection to Fontbonne University.

The deadline for submitting nominations is March 14, 2014.  You can send nominations, with some identifying characteristics, to Lauren Sauer, at:  lsauer@fontbonne.edu.

Thank you for your assistance with this award process.
