Rebecca Bahan has been working in the field of international education for nearly 15 years. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and International Relations from the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire and Master’s Degree in Higher Education Administration and Outdoor Recreation from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. She currently serves as the director of international affairs at Fontbonne University in St. Louis, Missouri, where she oversees all aspects of campus internationalization, including the areas of international student services, immigration compliance, international academic advising, intercultural training for faculty and staff, and international enrollment management, with focus on agent and university partnerships.

Rebecca has lived and worked in six states and three countries. During her tenure in international affairs, she has been fortunate to travel to over 40 countries for recruitment and study purposes. She has focused her recruitment and partnership attention on various cities in China for the past several years. Rebecca has served as a NAFSA (Association for International Educators) leader and workshop presenter, has participated in AIRC (American International Recruitment Council) agent training, has consulted for Academic Impressions and International Student Network and is currently conducting research on cross-cultural training for faculty and staff.
