Prepare to Join Griffin Nation

Griffin 101 is required for all new undergraduates. We offer two versions, one for freshmen and one for transfer students, that are tailored to the unique needs of each group. Learn more about what to expect from your Griffin 101 experience, and register for the date that best fits your schedule. Please note that there is a registration cap for each session, so be sure to register early.

In an abundance of caution for our students and all members of the Fontbonne Community, we have decided to transition our Griffin 101 Summer Orientation program into a virtual, distanced orientation for the summer of 2020.

About Griffin 101 for Freshmen

During Griffin 101, our first-time, first-year students can expect to engage with the various tools needed to be successful at Fontbonne. You will be introduced to helpful staff and faculty, academic services, community building opportunities led by upperclassmen, and school spirit initiatives sure to fill you with Griffin pride. This daylong program offers an exciting introduction to the Fontbonne community!

About Griffin 101 for Transfer Students

Transfer students can expect to learn more about our academic support services, student affairs, processes related to financial aid and our business office, and needs from information technology. Our transfer orientation programs provide key information in fast-paced sessions that allow new students to connect with the appropriate resources to be successful at Fontbonne.

Helpful Reminders

  • Your deposit is due before you can sign up for Griffin 101. If you have not already paid your $100 tuition deposit, submit payment today.
  • Will you be bringing in dual credit or AP credit? If yes, please have your transcripts submitted before Griffin 101.
  • Filing for financial aid? Fill out the FAFSA with school code 002464 www.fafsa.ed.gov.

Overall Policy
