Save the Date Presidential Inauguration |
Mark your calendars and plan to attend the Presidential Inauguration of Dr. J. Michael Pressimone on Friday, November 14, 2014.
Inaugurations are generally held within the first six months of a new president's arrival. Enthusiasm is still high. The president has had time to know the campus and people better, more fully understand its challenges and opportunities, and thus, be able to build a compelling message, direction and vision. While Dr. Pressimone is getting a head start on knowing Fontbonne before his official start date through transitioning meetings and committees, his first two months on campus are during the summer which is a different experience than the academic year offers. From a practical standpoint, the rule of thumb is that an inauguration requires a minimum of six months of planning!
More details will be forthcoming on all the special events as part of the Inauguration celebration.
