Fontbonne University’s 2016 commencement ceremony took place Monday, May 9. Both undergraduate and graduate students commenced in a combined ceremony, held for the first time at Chaifetz Arena. Fontbonne awarded $1.25 million grant for Deaf Education program

 
 
 

Fontbonne University has received a $1.25 million grant to fund student tuition for a unique deaf education graduate program. The Department of Education’s Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services announced recently that the five-year grant was awarded to support Fontbonne’s Master of Arts in Deaf Education collaborative program serving students in the northeast United States. 

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

Alumni receives Teacher of the Year Award

 
 
 
Fontbonne University alumna Kimberly Leezy Sonderman ’96 was recognized by the Parkway School District as its 2016 Preschool Teacher of the Year. This is the first year that Parkway gave an award to a preschool teacher.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

1997 grad named a CFO of the Year

 
 
 
Fontbonne University alumnus Chad Cattoor has been named a CFO of the Year by the St. Louis Business Journal. Cattoor is the Senior Vice President of Finance and Administration and Chief Financial Officer of Concordia Seminary in St. Louis.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

Conference to showcase undergraduate cyber security research 

 
 
 
A team of Fontbonne University cyber security students will present their research at St. Louis’ premier hacking and cyber security conference this summer. Fontbonne Community Connection
 
 
 

The Fontbonne Community Connection is a women’s giving circle that believes in the mission of Fontbonne
University and, specifically, in the positive effect that higher education has on society. The FCC acts on these beliefs by awarding financial grants to faculty, staff, and students of the University to advance their educational goals and to promote Fontbonne University.

Membership in the FCC is open to alumnae, faculty, staff, friends and community supporters. Each member pledges $1,000 per fiscal year. Members are invited to renew annually.
