Alumni Night at the Theatre
Sunday, Nov. 20, Pre-performance reception - 4:30 p.m., Performance - 6 p.m. 

Enjoy an exclusive performance of All is Calm at Fontbonne’s acclaimed Mustard Seed Theatre. Back for a fourth – and final – year, this a cappella musical ponders a moment of peace in the middle of war. Tickets are limited and the cost is $25.

Cardinals Care Gift Drive

Monday, Nov. 28 and Tuesday, Nov. 29, 7:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Fontbonne hosts a drop-off location for this fifth annual gift drive for unwrapped winter items and toys.

#GivingTuesday

Tuesday, Nov. 29, 12:01 a.m. - 11:59 p.m.

This global day of giving is observed the Tuesday after Thanksgiving and is fueled by the power of community philanthropy. Be on the lookout for ways to give back and come together to transform the way people think, talk and participate in the giving season.

Advent Twilight Reflection

Thursday, Dec. 1, 7 p.m.

Join the Fontbonne community as we reflect and prepare for the season of Advent. Families will enjoy Christmas lights, cookies and a visit from a jolly guest.

 
 
 
 

FAFSA Frenzy is back

 
 

St. Louis-area students and their families can receive free help completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid at Fontbonne University’s FAFSA Frenzy event on Sunday, Nov. 13. The U.S. government has announced the 2017-18 FAFSA will be available starting Oct. 1, 2016 – three months earlier than usual. To assist students and families with this new process, Fontbonne will be hosting its 2017-18 FAFSA Frenzy in November instead of the traditional month of February.

Join Men's and Women's Basketball as they host Late Night on Friday, Nov. 11.

  • Women vs. Alumnae game at 7 p.m.
  • Men vs. Alumni game at 8 p.m.

Griffins upset Webster and student-athlete achieves two milestones in one night

 
 
 
It was a huge night for Fontbonne University women’s volleyball as the Griffins upset Webster University in the Battle of Big Bend. In front of a large home crowd, the Griffins went up 2-1 and secured final bragging rights of the year with a 15-12 fifth set victory. Senior Lynsey Wehrenberg needed 27 assists and 13 digs to achieve two career milestones and that she did.     
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

Griffins reach semifinals in Globalhack VI

 
 
 
Fontbonne University’s undergraduate and graduate student teams, supported by Math and Computer Science Department faculty, competed in GlobalHack VI in St. Louis on Oct. 21-23. The graduate team reached the semifinals. The teams came from around the United States and overseas. Their primary goal was to find technological solutions to homelessness.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

Professor’s new book explores life of early church father

 
 
 
A Fontbonne University religion professor tackles the life and times of an early church father in his new book, Gregory of Nazianzus. Dr. Brian Matz, Fontbonne University associate professor and Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet Chair in Catholic Thought, is a scholar of the history of Christianity, and this new book is the fourth in a series on the church fathers.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

Softball team earns second-highest GPA in Division II

Fontbonne University’s 2016 softball squad has earned the second-highest GPA in the country for Division III. Fontbonne had previously garnered the top spot during the 2012 season. This year’s ranking includes 92 teams.

#GivingTuesday at Fontbonne University kicks off on Tues., Nov. 29, 2016 at 12:01 a.m. and will continue until 11:59 p.m.

Observed on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving, #GivingTuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of community collaboration.
