Motherhouse hosts Alumni Spirituality Retreat

 
 

Fontbonne alumnae and friends gathered at the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet Motherhouse for a two-day Lenten retreat. Sisters Sarah Herman, CSJ '04 and Mary Flick, CSJ led the retreat entitled “Maintaining a Prayer Life in a Hectic World.” It was a wonderful time of reflection and fellowship.

 
 
     
 
 
 
 
 

Fontbonne now offers electronic transcripts

 

Over the last five months, the Registrar’s Office has been working with Parchment, the industry leader in credential management, to bring digital transcripts to Fontbonne University. Students and alumni now have the opportunity to send secure official transcripts electronically to the thousands of schools in the Parchment network and to any individual email address.

Additionally, students will now be able to order a transcript online to be mailed or picked up using the new system.

Fontbonne alumna opens business incubator

 

The St. Louis American featured alumna Kristy Daniels Jackson '97 and her husband James – who call themselves “serial entrepreneurs” – in a story about their new DK Annex in St. Louis’ Benton Park West neighborhood, which they describe as “an incubator space for underrepresented entrepreneurs and leaders.” 

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

Former pitcher advances in Dodgers organization

 

Fontbonne’s Vinny Santarsiero, who signed with the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2016, has finished his first spring training and has been promoted to play with the Great Lakes Loons, a Class-A affiliate of the Dodgers. “I’m going into my first full season with high expectations and can’t wait to get started!” he said.

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

Junior Preview Day

 

Do you know a high school student interested in becoming a Griffin? If so, Junior Preview Day is the place to be on Friday, April 28. All prospective Griffins will get a chance to tour campus, meet faculty and students, learn about financial aid and scholarships, check out our academic and sports programs, and enjoy lunch on us. 'Dancing at Lughnasa' opens at Mustard Seed Theatre

 

The Mustard Seed Theatre presents “Dancing at Lughnasa” on April 13-30. Set in Ireland, the drama explores a Catholic family of five unmarried sisters and their priest brother in the summer of 1936.

Debuted in the 1991, it won numerous awards including the 1991 BBC Olivier Award for Best Play of the Year and the 1992 Tony Award for Best Play.

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

Join the Fontbonne Community Connection today

 

The Fontbonne Community Connection is a women’s giving circle that believes in the mission of Fontbonne University and, specifically, in the positive effect that higher education has on society. The FCC acts on these beliefs by awarding financial grants to faculty, staff and students of the university to advance their educational goals and to promote Fontbonne University.

Membership in the FCC is open to alumnae, faculty, staff, friends and community supporters. Each member pledges $1,000 per fiscal year. Members are invited to renew annually.
