Alumni are invited to attend the Catch the Fire event on Thursday, Aug. 11, 2016, at 5 p.m. This annual tradition welcomes the newest Fontbonne students through a telling of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet story. Register here

Alumni are also encouraged to attend the Mass of the Holy Spirit on Sunday, Aug. 14, 2016. Catholic universities around the country celebrate a Mass of the Holy Spirit to mark the opening of the academic year. Dennis Gipson appointed Board Chair
 
 
 
Fontbonne University has named Dennis Gipson to chair of the Board of Trustees. Gipson is a three-year veteran of Fontbonne’s board. In that time, he has served as chair of the audit and finance committees, a trustee member of the student affairs and advancement committee and played a major role in cultivating relationships with the St. Louis Chapter of Junior Achievement.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

Alumnus Nagelvoort takes over Council of Regents

 
 
 

 Chuck Nagelvoort MM ’12, a resident of St. Charles and 18-year veteran of the financial industry, is now chair of the Council of Regents after having joined in 2014. Pictured above with Karen Gedera ’65, he has worked with his employer, Edward Jones, to host alumni events, recruiting graduates and initiating internships. Nagelvoort is a single father of two teenage daughters and is guardian to two more teenage daughters. He is a former police officer and a Navy veteran.

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Coach brings Olympic-level experience back to Fontbonne
 
 
 
With only one year as Fontbonne University’s head cross country and track and field coach under his belt, Chris Buckler has been busy outside of Fontbonne’s six seasons. This past year, he was chosen to participate in two Olympic-level professional development opportunities, then competed on the national level himself.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Havis named to 2016-2017 Focus St. Louis Leadership Class
 
 
 
Fontbonne University Vice President for Enrollment Management Joseph Havis has been selected as one of 61 members of the 2016-17 Leadership St. Louis class.
