 Fontbonne Celebrates the Season

Fontbonne University has been celebrating the holiday season through a variety of inspiring programs and events.

Cardinals Care Gift Drive

Fontbonne University proudly partnered with Cardinals Care for the organization’s fifth annual gift drive. More than 100 items, including new toys and warm winter items, were donated during the two-day collection on campus. The donations filled an entire truck of gifts for kids in need in our community.

On the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, Fontbonne University participated in the global day of giving movement known as Giving Tuesday. For the second year in a row, the Fontbonne community not only hit our goals, but we greatly exceeded them! More than 385 people participated in #GivingTuesdayFBU. This is the largest number of #GivingTuesday donors in Fontbonne’s history and a 20 percent increase from last year. In addition, FBU raised a total of $40,280.48 – a 33 percent increase from last year! A special thank you to all our generous participants! Click here to view photos from #GivingTuesdayFBU.

Advent Twilight Reflection

On Dec. 1 at 7 p.m., more than 30 members of the Fontbonne community gathered on campus to reflect on the season of Advent. Adults enjoyed a special talk on seeking serenity during this hectic time of year from Director of Mission and Stewardship Linda Markway, CSJ. Meanwhile, the children explored the season of Advent through kid-friendly activities and games. The entire group came together for the lighting of the campus’s manger scene. Afterwards, refreshments, cookies and fellowship were enjoyed while visiting with a special jolly guest! Click here and here to enjoy photos from the event.

Holiday Tea

On Dec. 4, Lord and Lady Pressimone hosted a Holiday Tea to thank the members of the LePuy, Lyon and Legacy Giving Societies for their generous support of Fontbonne University. Click here to view photos from the event.
