Demetria Jackson Lightfoot
Demetria Jackson Lightfoot Senior Director of Philanthropy at Youth In Need
I learned MANY things in my MBA Program at Fontbonne

During her time at Fontbonne, Demetria discovered her passion for nonprofits and philanthropy, “In undergrad, I started as a biology major with every intention of being a doctor. But life plans changed, and I switched majors. I thought I wanted to be a doctor because it was a noble and respected profession, but I found my way to philanthropy in the nonprofit sector, and it has been the most rewarding career experience. I wouldn’t change my decisions for anything.”

For employees, knowledge represents growth, empowerment, and possible advancement. For you, it means a stronger, more effective team.

Employers Can:

  • Close the skill gap in their workforce by providing professional development that is relevant and valuable.

Benefits

We accept tuition assistance and we offer tuition discounts for businesses and organizations. Direct billing makes payments simple and easy. Most corporate partnerships include a 20% discount on tuition. Additionally, we offer these specific discounts for the following corporations’ employees:

  • Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet – 25% discount

Tuition discount applies to part-time students. The discount cannot be considered for full-time enrollment in a traditional day program. Traditional day students typically receive financial packages that far exceed the tuition discount opportunity. Applicants cannot receive both the tuition discount and the full-time financial package. Advisors will advise on the option that is the most beneficial for the student based on enrollment status.

Fontbonne University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. Additionally, many of our business programs are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs. Click here to view our academic accreditations.

Our alumni are proud of their alma mater! More than 65 percent of Fontbonne graduates live and work in the St. Louis area. We support our alumni, which adds value to your corporation. Graduates connect through a variety of enriching opportunities, including networking events, speaker series and business seminars.

The Kinkel Center offers tutoring, study support, and disability services; the Career Development Department offers career development and management services, and the Counseling and Wellness Department offers personal counseling and wellness services – all free to registered students.

Students’ professional experiences and competencies count. College credit may be awarded for military courses and certificate or professional training courses, as well as portfolio evaluations.

Fontbonne’s main campus in Clayton offers more than just a convenient, central location. Our classrooms and conference rooms, available for your training sessions, retreats or workshops, come equipped with Wi-Fi, projection equipment, and many have smart boards.

Fontbonne has developed a wide array of business offerings that address the ever-evolving challenges of today’s and tomorrow’s corporate landscape. We offer those programs in convenient formats that accommodate the busy lives of working professionals.

Online – Fully online programs give your employees flexibility to complete work on their own terms, no matter where they are.

Face-to-Face – At Fontbonne, this traditional method of delivery means small class sizes, one-on-one attention, networking opportunities and camaraderie among classmates.

Blended – This option offers the best of both the online and the traditional worlds: face time with instructions and the convenience of online learning.

Closed Cohorts – This option is unique to our corporate partners. We’ll hold classes at your company, online or in a blended format just for your employees. If you have a group of employees interested in a specific offering, they can work through a degree program, course or workshop together at the same pace.
