A Note from the Alumni Association President:
Alumni Reunion Endowed Scholarship Appeal

graduates

Dear Alumni:

Every year alumni gather on campus during Alumni Reunion weekend to renew friendships, see the campus, and share successes.  While our graduation years may be different, our common love for Fontbonne unites us. You may ask how can I continue to be involved with Fontbonne and share my wonderful educational experience with others. One such way is by donating to the Alumni Reunion Endowed scholarship.

The scholarship enables current and future students at Fontbonne to realize their dreams of earning a college degree. Currently 86% of Fontbonne students are dependent on some type of financial aid to enable them to pursue their education.

Whether it be the 10th anniversary of your graduation from Fontbonne or your 60th anniversary, by donating to the Alumni Reunion Endowed Scholarship you can secure your legacy at Fontbonne. Your support makes it possible for future generations to receive the same kind of quality education that you received.

Or drop off your donation at any of the Alumni Reunion events during the weekend.  Staff will be available to answer questions and to secure your donation. To see the full schedule of Reunion events go to www.fontbonne.edu/Reunion.

Thank you for your generosity and support of Fontbonne!

Fontbonne University’s Fall 2014 Dedicated Semester:  Civil Rights: Then & Now

Fontbonne has embarked on its Fall Dedicated Semester marking the 50th anniversary of the passage of the Civil Rights Act. The planning for this semester-long focus on a single theme was under way for more than a year and was conceived as a way to consider present-day civil rights and struggles more fully in the context of history.

Of course, the university could not have anticipated the events that unfolded in Ferguson and the subsequent focus on race relations, civil rights and more. These events in our city are not-so-subtle reminders that the issues at the core of this semester have not been “resolved,” and indeed play out in both new and reminiscent ways. There are no easy answers here, and the organizers of the Dedicated Semester do not pretend to have any. What the university seeks is to use the Dedicated Semester as a vehicle for informing, questioning, processing, supporting and problem solving in our own community.

We invite you to discover more. Click here to see a Schedule of Events.
