Beyond Acceptance into the Program...Once you are accepted into an online program, you will be assigned an advisor within your department. Once that assignment is made, you will have two major tasks to accomplish with your advisor: - Formulate a Degree Completion Plan
- Select courses for your first semester
These tasks can be accomplished via email conversations or phone conversations; however, if you are in the St. Louis area, and would like to visit with your advisor in person, you should feel welcome to make an appointment to meet with him or her. Beyond the Planning Phase...After your plan has been decided for the semester, you are able to enroll in classes using web registration. You will log in using your student ID number and your zip code as your password (this password can be changed once you are logged in). The web registration software also allows you to check your grades from past semesters, when applicable, and see how your financial aid has been applied to your account. Beyond Enrollment...Once enrolled, you will need to pay your tuition. You can pay your tuition electronically or set up payment plans through the Business Office webpage. You might also want to investigate the options Financial Aid has to offer you as a graduate student. Beyond the First Semester...Each semester you will work with your advisor to plan course selection for the next academic term in which you will enroll. This is an essential step because your advisor must authorize your ability to register online. Be sure to contact your advisor early in the planning phase so you are able to set up a phone appointment, complete email exchanges or meet with your advisor in person in a timely manner and are ready to register when allowed to do so.
