August Commencement is scheduled for August 15, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. in Fontbonne University’s Doerr Chapel.

Graduates and guests are able to park in Lots A, B, D and E as shown on this Commencement Parking Map. Lot A and D have accessible parking and is best for wheelchair parking. The Horseshoe Lot is available for drop off. Please email registraroffice@fontbonne.edu with any specific questions.
Tickets are required for entrance into the Commencement Ceremony.
Tickets will be available the week prior to commencement and may be picked up in the Registrar’s Office, Ryan Hall 205. Office hours are Monday – Thursday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. If tickets are available sooner, graduates will be alerted via email.
Graduates will check-in 1 hour prior to the ceremony, 5:00 p.m. in the Ryan dining hall. Only graduates will be allowed in the check-in area; all guests should proceed to the chapel. Chapel doors open at 5:00 p.m. for guests.

Caps and Gowns must be ordered through Jostens. The deadline to order is July 21, 2025.

Undergraduate tassels are to be worn on the right side of the cap until the announcement is made at the ceremony to formally move the tassels to the left side. Graduate tassels are worn on the left side at all times.
Graduate and undergraduate candidates are invited to wear the stole and pins that they have received at the convocation ceremonies held throughout their years at Fontbonne University.

Those undergraduate students that qualify and are receiving academic honors will be notified by the Registrar’s Office. To calculate Latin honors, Fontbonne uses the grades for all courses taken at other colleges and universities, as well as all courses taken at Fontbonne (will include final semester grades).
Latin Honors are as follows:
Master degree candidates do not wear honor cords.
Diplomas are not given at the commencement ceremony. Students participating in the ceremony will only receive a diploma cover as they process across the stage. Diplomas are typically mailed around 6-8 weeks after the commencement ceremony.
