2017 Softball TeamFontbonne University softball defied the odds and clinched the final spot in the SLIAC Tournament Tuesday night in their final game of the regular season. The Griffins needed to win both games against Iowa Wesleyan to get into their 9th consecutive tournament and did so with 12-3 and 4-0 victories.

Fontbonne is supposed to host the tournament for two years, beginning this season on their home field at ABC Ball Park in St. Ann, Mo.

The Griffins will face No. 1-ranked Westminster College in the first game of the tournament while second-seeded Greenville College will square up against No. 3-seeded Webster University. Admission is $5 for adults and $2 for children and students from within the SLIAC with a valid student ID. Fontbonne students are free with a valid Fontbonne ID.

Friday – May 5, 2017 at Lindenwood University (St. Charles, Mo.)
Game 1 – #1 Westminster vs. #4 Fontbonne, 10 a.m.
Game 2 – #2 Greenville vs. #3 Webster, 12 p.m.
Game 3 – Loser of Game 1 vs. Loser of Game 2, 2 p.m.

Saturday – May 6, 2017 at ABC Park hosted by Fontbonne University (St. Ann, Mo.)
Game 4 – Winner of Game 1 vs. Winner of Game 2, 2 p.m.
Game 5 – Winner of Game 3 vs. Loser of Game 4, 4 p.m.

Sunday – May 7, 2017 at ABC Park hosted by Fontbonne University (St. Ann, Mo.)
Game 6 – Winner of Game 4 vs. Winner of Game 5, 12 p.m.
Game 7 – If Necessary
