Strategic Plan: 2021-2026

Fontbonne University’s Strategic Plan provides a framework in which to define our shared goals for the next five years to ensure the coordinated and comprehensive advancement of Fontbonne’s mission and future.

The 2021-2026 plan began with the formation of a strategic planning committee, comprising faculty, staff and students. In January 2021, a series of campus forums were hosted to obtain input from the following groups: Students and FCC, Staff and Faculty, advisory boards, Board of Trustees. Questions were framed around the future direction of Fontbonne.

Based upon the responses and feedback received, four themes surfaced:

  • Finances
  • Infrastructure defined as academic programs and the spaces where students live and learn and where employees work
  • People and the needs of students and employees
  • External focus/community orientation

After those January 2021 sessions, input was obtained from President Nancy Blattner and the Executive Leadership Team, and revisions were made following additional Zoom calls and forums which involved the broader Fontbonne community. Finally, in October 2021, the Board of Trustees voted and unanimously approved the strategic plan during its fall meeting.
