Get the Credit You've Earned

Advanced Placement

Students who score three, four or five on Advanced Placement tests may be awarded university credit through Fontbonne, subject to the approval of the appropriate college dean or department chairperson. Official tests scores must be received by the Registrar’s Office directly from the testing agency. Contact the College Board to have your scores sent.

International Baccalaureate (IB)

Students who earn an acceptable score on the IB exam as approved by the college dean or department chairperson may be awarded university credit.

College Level Examination Program (CLEP)

Students may earn credit for CLEP general and subject examinations to fulfill certain course requirements according to the respective college or department policy. Official test scores must be received by the Registrar’s Office directly from the testing agency. Credit is awarded if the score received is at or above the American Council of Education (ACE) recommendation.

Dual Credit

Students may receive credit for college coursework taken while enrolled in high school studies. Official transcripts must be received by the Registrar’s Office directly from the university or college where the college credit is earned.

Transfer Credit

Fontbonne University awards transfer credit for courses that are considered college-level work from accredited, degree-granting institutions of higher learning. Official transcripts must be received by the Registrar’s Office directly from the university or college where the college credit is earned.
