Annual Activities and Events

Fontbonne Griffins have a lot to look forward to — and plenty of activities and events to attend all year long. From festivals to sports tournaments and big-name concerts to comedy nights, student organizations run the show, often working together to plan and orchestrate campus entertainment for the entire student body. Read more about our biggest annual events below.

  • Neon Volleyball Tournament

    Neon Volleyball Tournament

This annual event brings teams together to compete in a blacklight version of the sport we all know and love. With glow tape on the ground, neon shirts that pop under the blacklight cannons, and enough action to keep the games intense, this event never disappoints.

  • Homecoming - Family and Reunion Weekend

Homecoming - Family and Reunion Weekend

Fontbonne is excited to host Homecoming this fall – merging two previous gatherings into one large-scaled celebration of Griffin Nation!  Traditional events include an outdoor movie, dueling pianos, and the fall festival.

  • Fall Festival

    Fall Festival

This event brings all of our student organizations out to sponsor carnival-styled booths and games in order to celebrate the season with the entire community. Favorites include pumpkin bowling, haunted hayrides, hot cider, and more!

  • Dueling Pianos

    Dueling Pianos

Imagine the local piano bar, picked up and planted right in the middle of campus! Each year, students pack the DSAC Caf’ for the annual “Dueling Pianos” event – filled with requests for the musicians that take the stage. Bring your singing voice – you’ll definitely want to be a part of the action.

  • Snowcoming

To close out our fall semester each year, the annual Snowcoming Carnival and Concert gathers the Fontbonne community together for one last party before finals and Winter Break. The concert has featured performers such as The Madison Letter, Kid Quill, and American Idol Champion, Kris Allen.

  • International Bazaar

    International Bazaar

Each November, the campus community celebrates the cultures of our international students, who represent 25 different countries! The International Bazaar begins with a flag ceremony and culminates in a festive party with food, music, art and dress from around the world.

  • Battle of Big Bend

    Battle of Big Bend

You’ll definitely want to take your place in the stands early as our Fontbonne Griffins Basketball Teams take on the Webster Gorloks for our annual rivalry game. Griffin Gang provides a ton of excitement, energy, and free stuff to make sure we cheer our teams to victory!

  • Big Pink Volleyball Tournament

    Big Pink Volleyball Tournament

You haven’t played volleyball until you try out Big Pink Volleyball! In an effort to raise money and awareness to support breast cancer research, this event is a great tradition that allows all students to come together and have a great time competing for the win.

  • SpringFest

Closing out our programming calendar every year is the annual SpringFest event. This event is a full-day celebration of the year spent at Fontbonne and includes traditions like faculty/staff dunk booth, inflatable races, food, and so much more – plus, the annual SpringFest tee is a must-have for all students!

  • Winter Warm-Up

As a welcome back after Winter Break, the annual Winter Warm-Up festivities are sure to bring everyone back into the Fontbonne community with excitement. Often including a Tailgate Party, a night of stand-up comedy or music, and a trip to Demolition Ball and Laser Tag, Winter Warm-Up is always a blast!
