1949 Alumna Issues $25,000 Challenge to Fontbonne Donors on GivingTuesday
An anonymous alumna from the class of 1949 will donate $25,000 for student scholarships at Fontbonne if we reach our goal of 100 donors on or before December 3.
Help us achieve this goal by making a gift to support student scholarships on GivingTuesday, December 3, 2024 and help as many current students as possible graduate from Fontbonne before the University closes in August 2025. Give any amount. Yes – early donors count toward our goal!
Quality, respect, diversity, community, justice, service, faith, and Catholic presence — these are the values expressed every day in every aspect of campus life at Fontbonne University. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, Fontbonne is educating students to think critically, to act ethically, and to assume responsibility as global citizens and leaders. Guided by our founders, the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, all members of the Fontbonne family are infused with a spirit of service and generosity. With your support, we will continue to provide the funding and resources to empower all students, current, and future, to Soar Higher.
Nearly 87 percent of Fontbonne students receive financial aid every year. To our students, every dollar provides for their future.
When you support Fontbonne scholarships, you invest in a mission-centered and values-based, Catholic education for people who otherwise could not afford it. Your generosity creates graduates who will go and serve the dear neighbor in need without distinction for life. Today’s students are tomorrow’s leaders. Invest in their future today.

My name is Ryan, and I am from Denver, Colorado. I chose Fontbonne because of the academic and athletic opportunities that the university provides me. Being able to do a dual degree program with WashU, getting a degree in both Biomedical Engineering and Biology, is an incredible opportunity that I couldn’t pass up. I am excited to play for the Men’s Volleyball team this spring and start in-person classes this fall. For more about Athletics, click below.

I am currently working as a nurse on the high-risk cardiac floor at Barnes. In my spare time, I coach skills development for basketball at St. Mary’s high school and the Larry Hughes facility. Fontbonne was a great place, it was good to me! It gave me a place to make mistakes, learn from those mistakes and grow as an individual! I’m forever greatful for my time there.
