Retreats

Retreats allow opportunities for students to grow in faith, ask questions about how they are called to live and build community with their peers. Fontbonne offers a variety of retreats to engage students at a deeper level. See our schedule of retreat offerings below.

Traditional Retreat Schedule

  • Fan the Flame Retreat: Late October/Early November
  • Women’s Retreat: Mid-March
  • Senior Spark Retreat: Early April

Fan the Flame Retreat

During this annual Fall Retreat, students explore different themes pertaining to sustaining their vocational aspirations in a healthy and holistic way.

Women’s Retreat

This retreat held during Women’s History Month offers women an opportunity to find friendship and fellowship within the Fontbonne Community. Some common themes include social justice, advocacy, and inclusion.

Senior Spark Retreat

This annual retreat offered for graduating Fontbonne Students provides graduates with an opportunity to reflect upon their time at Fontbonne while also challenging them to contemplate their futures.

Immersion Experiences

Campus Ministry encourages students to get involved with their faith and this includes exploring locally, nationally and internationally recognized places of faith, service and justice.

Some previous immersion experiences include:

  • Gulu Immersion Project – Gulu, Uganda (May 2017)
  • Spring Break Immersion Trip – Jackson, KY (Spring 2018)
  • Bethlehem Farm (May) – Talcott, WV (May 2018)
  • Upcoming and ongoing immersion experiences include:
  • Encounter the Dear Neighbor – Peru (May 2023)
  • ACSSJ Student Pilgrimage to Lepuy, France (Bi-annually)
  • Sisters of St. Joseph Motherhouse Tours (By Request)

Overall Policy

Traffic Analysis

We analyze traffic to this site. We collect statistical data on an aggregated basis through Google Analytics. For example, we collect information about the domain names of servers that bring visitors to our site. We count the number of visitors and keep track of where they go on our site. Such information allows us to find out what areas users visit most frequently and what services they access the most, which enables us to create a better overall user experience. To gather such data, we use cookie technology, which collects data in aggregate form, not by individual user.

As referenced above, we use cookie technology for traffic analysis. Cookies are small pieces of information stored by your browser on your computer’s hard drive. The cookies placed by our server do not gather personal information about you, do not provide any way for us to contact you and do not gather information about your computer. The cookies simply allow us to enhance our site by letting us know what sections are visited most often.
